- Key Objective:
- Processing of invoices in a timely manner and in accordance to company policies and procedures.
- Process weekly bacs runs in accordance to weekly deadlines
- Manage and train team member’s effectively ensuring key objectives are always met and delivered in accordance to team objectives.
- Proactive role in supporting team members and providing cross cover of roles within the team. Encourage new starters to help them settle into the team quickly.
- Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensuring supplier invoices are processed on a daily basis and all queries are reviewed and escalated in accordance to procedure.
- Manage and update vendor database with all changes and run the vendor audit report on a monthly basis for management review. Check all VAT accounts using the Deloitte tool provided.
- Complete and assist top 10 supplier statements on a monthly basis and perform adhoc reconciliations throughout the year.
- Ensure all letter received into Accounts Payable are reviewed daily and actioned according ensure no court proceeding or threatening letters are ever ignored.
- Build good relationships with the centre management team & corporate team assisting and training where necessary.
- Maintain and manage the weekly KPI’s for centres and corporate query resolution performances.
- Perform weekly bacs runs working closely with the payment teams.
- Any other Ad-Hoc duties where required.
- Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Accounts department with high volume processing. Good understanding of Accounts Payable within the Construction Industry - SAP experience and Basware would be beneficial.
- High level of accuracy required and attention to detail; ability to recognise errors promptly and proactive approach to problem solving and initiating improvements
- Good time management skills, ability to prioritise and well organised. Ability to multi task and deliver to tight deadlines. Able to work under pressure
- Good written and verbal communicator with a focus on customer service. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle queries in a professional manner
- Team Player maintaining close working relationships within the team and with colleagues throughout the business. Cheerful, personable and responsible.
- IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Office particularly Excel
