If you have a passion for numbers and a strong understanding of accounting processes, we’d love to hear from you.Salary: Negotiable (based on experience & skills)Job Description:As an Accounts Assistant/Accounts Payable, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance department. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, including payroll processing, pension auto-enrolment, and bank reconciliation.Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll and Pension Management: Process staff payroll in a timely and accurate manner.Manage auto-enrolments and pension contributions, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.Calculate SSP (Statutory Sick Pay), SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay), and other related paymentsAccounting Software: Maintain accurate financial records using Sage 50 and QuickBooks.Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.Invoicing and Payments: Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.Handle queries related to accounts payable and receivableReporting and Analysis: Assist in preparing financial reports and maintaining budgets.Support in preparing monthly and annual financial statementsCompliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.Key RequirementsProven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of auto-enrolments, pension management, and payroll processes.Proficiency in Sage 50, QuickBooks, and other accounting software.Excellent understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation.Ability to calculate and process SSP, SMP, and other statutory payments accurately.
