Graduate Bid Writer

**About this role**

As a Graduate Bid Writer you will be passionate about writing, have a strong grasp of the English language and be capable of producing large amounts of textual content on a daily basis. As part of your training, we will help you hone your writing, proofreading, researching, project management and editing skills. We will also help you understand and adopt our brand language, to ensure that the written content we produce has a consistent and recognisable voice.

This role is ideal for a graduate designed for development and growth into a bid writer/bid manager.

Throughout your training, we will help you develop your persuasive writing techniques and will show you how to relate to different audiences. Some aspects of the role will involve consulting senior members of staff, associates and clients. We need our Graduate Bid Writer to have strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail and will learn how to conduct necessary research and fact checking tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**

As our Graduate Bid Writer, you will be based in our Warrington office with some remote working and travel to other offices. Yo will work closely with our Head of Services in Warrington, Bromley and Sheffield. Your responsibilities will include:
**Bid writing**

**- **Writing case studies for inclusion in bids.
**- **Writing CVs for inclusion in bids.
**- **Writing specific responses for bid submissions in line with Pennington Choice's brand and quality standards.

**Bid library**

**- **Ensuring all general information, for example company information, insurance details, accreditations etc are kept up to date within the library and reviewing and updating documents on expiry in PQQ folder.
**- **Adding new case studies and reviewing and improving existing case studies.
**- **Adding new CVs and reviewing and improving existing CVs.
**- **Adding new responses once bids have been submitted.
**- **Being innovative in ways to manage bid library and working with bid manager to continuously improve this function.

**Bid management**

**- **Attending kick off meetings, inputting into the win strategy
**- **Producing presentation materials using Indesign.
**- **Conducting customer research and competitor analysis in developing win strategies and bid plans.
**- **Updating the CRM database.

**Admin**

**- **Downloading, logging and distributing bid documents.
**- **Ensuring go/no go decisions are taken within three days.
**- **Updating bid calendar.
**- **Downloading and circulating tender clarifications.

**Other**

**- **Business writing for other department as required and agreed with bid manager.
