**Overview**
**Duties**
- Lead and manage the nursery team to provide high-quality care and education.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including safeguarding and health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to enhance the nursery’s operational efficiency.
- Monitor children’s progress and development, providing support to staff in planning appropriate activities.
- Engage with parents and carers, maintaining open lines of communication regarding their child's development.
- Conduct regular staff training sessions to promote professional development within the team.
- Maintain accurate records related to children's attendance, incidents, and other necessary documentation.
- Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages creativity, learning, and play.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in a leadership role within an early years setting is essential.
- A recognised qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., Level 3 or above).
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies is highly desirable.

Pay: £22,880.00-£52,782.79 per year
