Business Development

My client are a growing business.They are looking for a business development and sales representative to increase the commercial and trade side of the business.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- To research and contact prospective customers
- To focus on larger projects in the commercial sector
- To visit customers, to advise on and sell our range of products
- To drive sales and be the main point of contact for commercial customers building long-term relationships and repeat business
- To attend appointments, prepare larger quotes and follow-up with excellent customer service and sales skills
- To process orders which will involve taking detailed requirements and accurate survey measurements
- To understand and learn the technical aspects of the product range, and to have the ability to survey and measure accurately
- To communicate effectively and work as part of a small team with a can-do attitude and a flexible schedule
- Lead generation from an existing database and supporting the development of new prospects
- Ensuring the client is happy with the service they receive, including aftercare where necessary
**REQUIRED SKILLS**:
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
- You are highly motivated with a strong technical aptitude and natural sales instinct
- You are a hunter/hustler that can work autonomously
- You have great communication skills. You are confident to speak with people face to face and over the phone. You are often put in situations where you will be put on the spot on a call so having the ability to improvise is key
- You are resilient and adaptable
- Strong presentation skills and being able to present confidently
- Well-presented and professional
- Honest, reliable, ethical and conscientious
- Familiar and competent with metric measurements - able to use a tape measure
- A good organiser with time planning skills and good timekeeping
- Great at following-up, keeping track of, and converting sales
- Full UK driving license
