Join Wealdstone FC as our
Business Development Manager
, where you'll be at the heart of our mission to grow our overall revenue across multiple areas and ensure our facilities are utlised to their maximum potential. With a focus on growing and energising our fan base and taking the lead in continuing our efforts to develop non-matchday revenues. This is a dynamic role for someone who loves to sell, has a strong entrepreneurial streak, and can help grow our team and capability in Sales and Marketing over time.
What You'll Be Doing
Growing our fan base
- Develop and execute a 12 month fan growth and retention plan, including referral programmes, partnerships with schools and local community initiatives.
- Engage with target groups to build new sources of ticket sales.
- Analyse and recommend ticket pricing and bundling approaches.
- Create and deliver a promotional plan to build awareness to deliver higher attendances and matchday revenues.
- Optimise matchday income streams beyond ticket sales
- Work cross-functionally to leverage opportunities in marketing and social media
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to track ROI across, attendance initiatives, hospitality and merchandise streams.
Non-matchday revenue growth
- Build and execute a strategy for maximising non-match day utilisation across the club's facilities.
- Develop premium matchday experiences, club events and local business networking packages.
- Create new digital revenue channels leveraging our social media presence, the official club mobile app and our website.
- Collaborate with the Supporters Club and Community Foundation to develop and deliver joint projects.
- Define and manage staffing required, (where necessary), to deliver against opportunities.
- Optimise the club's online and physical merchandising strategy, growing sales, improving margins and profitability as well and ensuring efficient order fulfilment.
Reporting and Ways of Working
- Initially, working closely with the club's majority shareholder to agree priorities and key objectives.
- You will provide regular updates on key activities to the club's Board of Directors as required.
- You will collaborate with other key personnel to ensure alignment and support to ensure successful
execution of revenue initiatives.
About You
Experience
- You are commercially driven, entrepreneurial and thrive on turning ideas into measurable outcomes
- football
experience not necessarily required. - You have a strong track record and understanding of how to turn engagement into sustainable revenue streams.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with target fan segments and external
organisations.
- You have a hunger to identify best in class initiatives/programmes that can build our revenue base.
- You possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations and decisions.
- You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to deliver effective reporting and
communications across key stakeholders.
- You have leadership capability and potential to develop into a senior leadership role as the club progresses and grows .
- A real passion for football.
