We are looking for a talented professional for our Laboratory located at the Surrey Technology Centre, Guildford.

Igenomix UK is part of the global company. The laboratory currently performs four tests in-house: Covid PCR, Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Monogenic Diseases (PGT-M), Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-A) and Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Structural Rearrangements (PGT-SR). This is an excellent opportunity to work in a rapidly growing company with an experienced specialist team in a fully ISO15189 accredited clinical laboratory.

**What are you accountable** for achieving?**

Your duties will include some or all of the following:
**Laboratory Duties**
- Kit preparations for in-house and outsourced tests
- Performing DNA extractions (blood, buccal cells, biopsied embryos)
- Performing PCR and in sequencing (wet lab work)
- Conducting NGS using the Life Technologies platform (wet lab work)
- Conducting NGS using the Life Technologies platform (wet lab work)
- ConductingKaryomapping (wet lab work)

**Non-Laboratory Duties**
- Sample reception and registration
- Record keeping and quality control
- Providing admin support to teams including stock control, maintenance of inventories and order processing.
- Establishing and maintaining internal processes and suppliers
- Witnessing of reporting for patient results
- Maintenance of and implementation of all quality procedures alongside Quality Manager using the Quality Management System

**What will you need to be successful?**
- Bachelors or Masters degree in life sciences
- Ability to work efficiently and flexibly in fast-paced environment
- Methodical and organised - including the ability to multitask.
- Excellent use of written and verbal English language
- Good understanding of MS Office
- Strong team player
- Understanding of attention to detail and procedure
- **Previous laboratory experience essential (minimum 2 years)**
