Taylor Hawkes are currently recruiting for a leading Top 10 firm who are seeking an Audit Senior for the firm’s specialist Financial Services department. The firm work with a wide range of clients from large & listed corporates, SME’s to families & theirbusinesses.
The company pride themselves on being one of the country’s leading providers of external audit services to the UK insurance market. The financial services team also provides internal audit services to several major insurance companies and brokers. They arealso a leading firm in the Lloyd’s of London insurance market. Financial services insurance clients include insurance companies, syndicates, Lloyds entities, mutual insurers, brokers, and agents.
They also provide external audit services to asset managers, private equity finds, corporate finance firms, and other FCA regulated businesses. Working within the financial services department could see you auditing a corporate capital vehicle for a Lloydsname or PE fund to helping with complex technical work involved in a firms FCA authorisation.
**The role will undertake the following duties**:
- Be responsible for allocating work to junior members of the audit team
- Provide on the job training to junior members of the firm, review their work and provide feedback
- Ensure that the work undertaken on site is in accordance with the approved plan and budget
- Advise the manager of any developments that may lead to a change in strategy
- Suggest logical solutions to problems
- Be responsible for a detailed assignment memorandum incorporating an appropriate analytical review
- Clear manager and partner review points and follow up any outstanding queries
- Respond to all client queries and concerns in an efficient and professional manner, often dealing directly with senior management
- Provide sound advice to clients and demonstrate knowledge of business issues;
- Provide a detailed analysis of time charged on every assignment to facilitate billing and future planning
