**Overview**

To assist the Senior Underwriters, Underwriters and Assistant Underwriters with all administrative and underwriting tasks (within guidelines) for business handled by the Direct Underwriting Property department.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the production of new quotes, renewal quotes and binders.
- Assist in administering correspondence sent to the Property mailbox, as and when required.
- Review of inspection reports and provide support to the Assistant Underwriter when required.
- Review daily post items and produce responses within guidelines.
- Update database information as and when required.
- Prepare submissions for Senior Underwriters, Underwriters and Assistant Underwriters when required.
- Create and action diarised file items.
- Attend monthly and annual departmental meetings actioning any points specific to your role.
- To embrace and actively implement the core principles of Continuous Conversations (Commitments, Feedback and Development) as part of daily activities and with other colleagues.
- Take ownership of and make personal and professional development a priority as part of Continuous Conversations.
- In line with Continuous Conversations, establish and achieve development aspirations and needs through the setting of commitments and giving and receiving frequent, constructive feedback (referring to resources provided for support).

**Key Skills and Experience**
- Accuracy, attention to detail and analytical skills is essential.
- Strong interpersonal, team working and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to absorb technical information and has a numeracy and statistical skillset.
- Problem-solving skills and a logical approach to work, self-motivation and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Experience in an underwriting support role would be advantageous

- Experience of reviewing / underwriting inspection reports - desired
