Pen Underwriting is a leading managing general agent in the UK, offering innovative and tailored insurance solutions across a wide range of sectors. Our Cyber team is at the forefront of protecting businesses against the ever-evolving risks of the digital world. We are now looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to join our Cyber team in London.

As an Underwriting Assistant, you will provide essential support to the Cyber Underwriting team, assisting with the administration of new business, renewals, and endorsements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in insurance, particularly in the dynamic and fast-growing field of cyber insurance.

**How you'll make an impact**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist underwriters in the preparation and processing of new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments.
- Ensure all documentation, including policy schedules, endorsements, and certificates, is accurate and issued in a timely manner.
- Maintain and update underwriting systems and records to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise with brokers and clients to handle queries and provide excellent customer service.
- Support the team in monitoring and reporting on portfolio performance.
- Conduct initial risk assessments and gather necessary information to support underwriting decisions.
- Stay informed about market trends and developments in the cyber insurance space.

**About You**
**What We’re Looking For**:

- A keen interest in cyber insurance and a willingness to learn about the sector.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with a desire to contribute to the success of the Cyber team.
- Progress towards or interest in pursuing professional qualifications (e.g., CII) is advantageous.
