Alongside publishing eBooks and journals, we also develop specialist knowledge networks and content hubs to allow professionals to easily connect and collaborate with their peers in niche scientific fields.
**This is a graduate level full time position based in Finchley, North London, paying £24,000 per annum
- moving to £26k after probation.**
**Role and responsibilities;**

You'll be joining an outfacing arm of the business - where you'll be focused on keeping an eye on current trends in healthcare and science, keeping an eye on the market and conducting competitor analysis - looking for new ideas, potential breakthroughs andgrowth and collaboration opportunities. You'll be at the forefront of the hottest topics in the industry - and part of what will be very much an incubator for new ideas.
**Day to day responsibilities include**:

- Report to the VP of Research & Innovation on insights from the wider marketplace and research environment
- Operate at the frontier between our company and where we interact with the market
- Conducting market research into the emerging trends and advances in the market
- Monitor research advances relevant to our journals and digital sites
- Investigate new market and product opportunities that are complementary to our core capabilities and business objectives
- Identify new potential partnerships and collaborations for the company
- Monitor and scan the competitive landscape and the activity of competitors to identify best practice and facilitate knowledge transfer
- Scientific literacy preferred but not essential
- Strong research skills
- Experience conducting market research and generating insights
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work
- Excellent team player able to work closely with the VP of Research & Innovation, identifying external developments of relevance to FSG
- Self-starter able to actively scan the competitive market landscape and tease out the key signals
- Able to digest wider major research developments to filter those of relevance to our products and the leading minds in each topic area
- Able to condense a wealth of information into a succinct format and communicate it in a concise manner
