**2nd/3rd Line Support (French Speaking) - Near Edinburgh (Hybrid)**

Lorien's long-standing, successful and expanding client, with offices very commutable from Edinburgh, Fife, West Lothian and the surrounding regions, is looking to recruit a French-Speaking IT/Technical Support specialist to join their team; a role which has come about thanks to their business development success in mainland Europe.

You'll be part of an organisation putting their skills to good use; contributing towards the success of a firm who have already improved the lives of millions around the globe already. You'll take the reins as you tackle tickets within a team of 1st to 3rd Line Technical Support staff, contribute towards the smooth running of the team and its ongoing improvement, and be a key hands-on figure across support/network issue resolution/software upgrades/migrations and other relevant areas predominantly for their French-speaking clientele.

**An outline of some of the duties involved**:

- Playa a key role in the Tech Support team as you tackle tickets from internal and external users
- Get hands-on across all areas of 2nd and 3rd line technical support, covering inbound calls to data migrations, Windows and advanced networking issues resolution, database repairs, VM installations, software upgrades, etc.
- Contribute towards the ongoing improvement of the team, its procedures/processes, the tech they use, etc.
- Keep up to date with the latest trends, and bring those ideas into the team

**The skills/knowledge they're looking for**:

- Fluency in French is a must
- Background as a 2nd and 3rd Line specialist / IT Support Engineer / Service Desk personnel / similar
- Good knowledge of networking and related areas, PC Hardware and Config and Windows (any Linux would be great but not a necessity)
- Ability to liaise with technical staff at any level from different domains and specialisms
