We are looking for a Head of Lending Product to join our growing team in Wolverhampton.

What you will be doing:
The key purpose of this role is to oversee the development, implementation and successful delivery of the lending products for the Group’s lending brands with the overall responsibility for ensuring they are proactively designed and implemented to deliver against the Board agreed business targets.

The role is a senior leadership position in the Group’s Lending Products and Proposition function and will report to the Group Mortgage Proposition Director.

In addition the role holder is responsible for ensuring that positive customer outcomes are delivered and maintained throughout the lifecycle of the Groups lending products.

Your responsibilities will be to
- Support the Group Mortgage Proposition Director by leading the delivery of a multi brand strategy for the Group, focusing on ensuring each brand has its own identity whilst meeting volume and value targets.
- Be accountable for the performance of the Product teams, ensuring that they understand what the customer wants and that the products are proactively designed, advocated and implemented across the Group lending brands to deliver against Board agreed targets.
- Assist the Group Mortgage Proposition Director and Managing Director - Mortgages during the quarterly and annual planning cycles.
- To constantly maintain a detailed and in depth knowledge of the UK mortgage market specifically the BTL, Residential Owner Occupier, Bridging and Commercial sectors in order to effectively lead the performance and effectiveness of the function.
- Line manage and coach all direct reports, including all aspects of performance management, development, conduct, sickness management, appraisals, employee administration and recruitment.

In return for your commitment:

- Previous experience of leading and managing specialist product teams within the financial services sector is essential
- Previous experience of Product development and management in the Commercial and bridging sector is desirable.
