M Large, a well-established business founded in 1970, provides a comprehensive range of services across the UK and Ireland. We specialise in the sale of specialist equipment, including truck cranes, hook loaders, and forestry machinery. Additionally, we operate and maintain a diverse fleet of over 60 vehicles and plant including Hydraulic truck cranes telehandlers, tractors, excavators, lorries, vans, cherry pickers, woodchippers and forklifts
**The Role**
We seek a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Mechanic/Plant Fitter. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the smooth operation of our workshop, overseeing the repair and maintenance of our equipment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Hands-on Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy machinery, including hydraulic and electronic components.
- **Diagnostic Expertise**: Utilise diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- **Team Leadership**: Supervise and guide a team of technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- **Process Improvement**: Implement innovative solutions to optimize workshop efficiency and productivity.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to strict safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- **Administrative Tasks**: Maintain accurate records and reports, including maintenance logs and inventory.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Proven track record in heavy machinery repair and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
- Valid driving license.
