Plant Fitter

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Plant Fitter.

This role shall become permanent. Day shift only

Hourly rate: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience.

28 days + holidays per year

You must have previous experience as a mechanical fitter in a similar role. You will have a flexible, proactive and ‘hands-on’ approach to work with effective communication, problem solving, and IT skills.

The highly skilled and experienced duties will specialize in the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of our industrial and commercial plant and machinery on-site.

As our Workshop Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for;
- The service and maintenance of all our Plant Machines, Vehicles and electrical materials handling equipment.
- Fault finding, planned preventative maintenance works
- Maintaining a clean and orderly working area including common areas
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines and workshop rules
- Completing job cards and ensuring all required parts to complete tasks are ordered
- Facilitate and coordinate the repair and maintenance of all on-site machinery i.e. carrying out any repairs/maintenance.
- Liaise daily with management and plant operations team to ascertain any repair and maintenance requirements that arise, or need specific prioritization

- Operation of processing plant
- Provide Specialist plant maintenance services to all machinery
- Service and maintenance of plant
- Fault solving
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Health and safety awareness. Maintenance of a tidy and safe working area
- Ensure parts are ordered
