An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable & Cash Management Manager to join an established public sector organisation.
The varied role will involve managing the accounts payable function including function/system/process improvement, as well as cash management.
This role will be based in Sheffield City Centre.
**Description**
Duties include:
- Accounts payable and expenses processing;
- Overseeing the limited account receiveable processing;
- Manage drawdown and distribution payments/receipts and ledger postings;
- Manage the month end ledger close for AP, AR, Expenses for the organisation;
- Manage AP and expenses payment runs;
- Manage and approve relevant journal postings to the Bank ledgers, and the validation of system generated postings to the ledgers;
- Sign off all monthly bank reconciliations;
- Manage aged creditor and aged debtor reporting;
- Review and approve monthly, weekly and daily cash flow reports;
- Produce weekly and monthly actual v forecast reports with variance analysis;
- Manage a team of transactional finance employees including regular one-to-one meetings, training and performance management;
- Contribute to the leadership of the Finance Department;
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders.
**Profile**
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- A brilliant working knowledge of an accounts payable function;
- Experience managing a transactional finance team;
- Good computer literacy;
- Knowledge of cash management would be advantageous but not essential to apply.
