**1st Line Network Technician**

**Salary**: £20,000 - £25,000 Gross per annum

Location: Aldgate (Hybrid)

Working hours: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 17:30pm

**Your new role**

As the 1st Line Network Technician you will assist with the day to day running of the Service Desk, working with our 2nd Line and 3rd Line network engineers, to provide client technical support and a high level of customer service. The role is focused ontroubleshooting Broadband related incidents for our customers. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual keen to enter into Network support

Some of your responsibilities will include but are not restricted to:

- First line support handling customer enquiries and support issues using our ticketing system
- Proactive network monitoring of alarms and traps for our customers via our monitoring tools
- Troubleshooting DSL/Circuit faults and working with carriers to achieve fault resolution
- Driving fault resolution to ensure SLA’s are not breached
- Escalation of faults/outages in accordance with Exponential-e procedures

**What you’ll need to succeed**

At Exponential-e we each have a personal responsibility in delivering excellence. To undertake the role of within our service desk team, you will have an understanding of networking fundamentals and be keen to learn.

Key skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to handle customer queries over the phone in a polite and professional way.
- Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of networking fundamentals and broadband troubleshooting
- Eager to learn and develop a career in networking

Ideally you will possess an industry standard certification (CCENT, CCNA, CompTIA A+) or a degree in Computer Networking.
