Interim Finance Assistant - 3 months (with potential to be extended), Manchester (Hybrid - 3 days office based/2 days at home.) Paying between £12 - £13 per hour

Our client is a service company based in Manchester, and due to significant change in the business, we are seeking an Interim Finance Assistant to join the business for a period of 3 months to assist with year-end. There is a strong possibility this rolewill be extended. The role is predominantly to offer support to the management accounts team by providing financial analysis and performing reconciliations for the UK group.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reconciling bank accounts on a weekly basis and ensuring reconciling items are cleared promptly, posting journals as required
- Preparing month-end balance sheet reconciliations for certain other balance sheet accounts
- Analysing monthly credit notes to determine root cause
- Update the daily bank balances for the UK group
- Interrogating financial systems to extract financial information and presenting it in an appropriate format for the requirements of the team
- Update the prior week's actual cash flow to assist with the preparation of the cash flow forecast
- Be able to hit the ground running and quickly get up to speed
- Be a strong communicator with good attention to detail
- Have experience with previous reconciliations in a high-volume business
- Experience in working to deadlines, preferably in a fast-paced and complex environment
- Strong Excel skills and a proactive attitude
- Must be available immediately
