Job DescriptionRole: Head of FinanceRole Type: Interim (3 Months+)Location: South ManchesterSalary: Up to £300 per dayIndustry: Education (Public sector)Your new companyWe're looking for an experienced finance professional to join a school in Manchester on a temporary basis for approximately 3 months, starting in January 2026. The role will involve key finance deliverables such as the monthly/ termly management accounts, VAT returns and day-to-day transactional postings.Your new role\tPrepare monthly and termly management accounts.\tComplete VAT returns and ensure compliance with VAT regulations.\tManage investment-related tasks.\tHandle day-to-day transactional postings.\tSupport finance operations without any line management responsibilities.What you'll need to succeed\tStrong experience in management accounting.\tQUAL ACCA or CIMA / QBE\tSolid understanding of VAT and related compliance.\tFamiliarity with investment processes.\tComfortable with transactional finance tasks.\tAbility to work independently and adapt to an interim role.What you'll get in returnA 3month contract starting in January 2026 paying a competitive day rate with hybrid working.What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, please click "apply" and we will revert to the most relevant applications as soon as possible.
