We are looking for reliable, proactive individuals, with excellent organisational skills to join our Events Team as an Events Operations Assistant, where you will be responsible for setting up venues for a range of events from live entertainment to conferences, and weddings, in a safe and timely manner.

**Our Organisation**

The Cheltenham Trust is an independent charity that manages five iconic venues at the heart of Cheltenham including the Pittville Pump Room, Cheltenham Town Hall, Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, Leisure at Cheltenham, and the Prince of Wales Stadium.

Across all our venues, cafés, indoor and outdoor spaces we plan and deliver a wide range of year round events including free events for the local community and visitors to Cheltenham, live shows, conferences, weddings, exhibitions, markets and dinners.

Each team member matters to us and joining the team will provide opportunities to help us deliver our projected growth and ensure that all our events and venues are the top choice for visitors.

**The Role**

Working with a variety of stakeholders including Event Managers, Catering, Technical and Front of House, you will play your part in ensuring that venues are set up in accordance with event plans, on time and to the highest standards.

This is a physical role so you will need to have a practical, can-do attitude.

Duties include:

- Setting venue spaces ready for events and internal functions
- Maintenance of equipment and assets, including some painting & decorating
- Post event take down
- Supporting delivery of events & providing an excellent customer experience
- Reporting of faults and/or damage to the relevant departments

**Our Requirements**:

- Minimum of one year relevant experience in a similar environment e.g. hospitality, events venue or visitor attraction
- Understanding of event operations, with a good knowledge of health, safety and security policies & procedures
- Superb organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage your time
- The ability to work alone as well as part of wider team,
- Confident and professional manner when dealing with clients and event suppliers
- Able to work under pressure and multi task, particularly during seasonal peaks
- Basic level of IT skills including use of Outlook, Word & Excel as well as web based software

**The Package**
- Full time roles are based on a 40 hour week, working 5 days out of 7 on a rolling rota
- Part time roles are based on a 20 or 30 hour week, working 3 or 4 days out of 7 on a rolling rota
