**About us**

Founded in 1873, GLW Feeds are one of the largest independent, family-owned livestock and specialty feed manufacturers in the UK, concentrating in roll, nut, pellet, and meal-form compound feeds. Significant investment since has resulted in a hi-tech computer-controlled production capacity of approaching 300,000 tonne capacity across two sites. Both of our sites are very close to the M1.

**Role Overview**

To provide support across all areas of the Finance Department. Take responsibility for payroll preparation and records, always ensuring accuracy and compliance.
To provide cover as and when required in all finance functions to meet the needs of the business.

**Hours of work**

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

**Pay Rate**

**£20,000 per annum**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Finance**
- Management of the HSBC invoice finance process
- Upload of invoices and credit notes
- Daily drawdowns
- Monthly charges
- Monthly MER
- Audit queries
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and communicate to key individuals.
- Processing of sales credit notes
- Opening of customer accounts
- Management of suppliers paid by direct debit
- Provide holiday cover for the purchase ledger clerks as and when required
- Support the finance department to prepare for audits as and when required.
- Complete finance activities as required.

**Payroll**
- Monitor and update the T&A system:

- ensuring it is fully updated and any concerns are flagged to the HR manager regarding clocking’s, system use and absence.
- Ensure daily shifts, shift patterns, new employees, holidays and entitlements are entered correctly.
- Assist with the monthly payroll
- Assist with keeping the payroll spreadsheet updated
- Reconcile payroll to the monthly payroll spreadsheet
- Streamline and improve payroll processes.
- Run anomaly reports, investigate, and correct anomalies.
- Make statutory payments
- Resolve any payroll queries as and when required

**Note**

These roles and responsibilities will change from time to time and the post holder is required to undertake any additional duties as deemed appropriate

**Salary**: From £20,000.00 per year
