**Main purpose of role**

As the **Marketing and Social Media Coordinator**, you will be an integral part of our support team. You will work closely with the Event, Training and Sales Managers on marketing initiatives, brand development, while also managing the social media presence for the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is creative, adaptable, and able to think on their feet in fast paced environment.

**Key areas of responsibility**

**Marketing**
- Develop, manage, and execute end-to-end marketing projects
- Collaborate with the Event and Training Manager along with the Sales Manager on brand development strategies
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, social media performance and website content to ensure alignment with business goals
- Liaise with our in-house designer on the creation of design materials, content assets, and marketing collateral needed for each campaign
- Support event planning, assisting with the creation of content materials and post-event reporting
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge.

**Social Media**
- Create, edit, and publish engaging social media content across key platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), with a focus on promoting events, content, value added information for our network members and showcasing our work in real-time
- Ensure brand consistency and maintain the company’s tone of voice across all social media channels
- Work with the content team to help keep the website content fresh and up to date, promoted and visible to our members
- Collaborate with other team members to proofread and improve content quality in line with our house style and brand guidelines.

**Person specification**
- Proven experience in event marketing and/or event planning
- Strong writing skills to be able to produce wording for social media and marketing campaigns
- An understanding of how to get the best out of social media by delivering engaging and interactive content and through the building of digital relationships
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms, with a focus on LinkedIn and Twitter X
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good analytical skills to assess and optimise paid advertising campaigns
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Excellent influencing skills and an ability to forge effective working relationships with members and colleagues across a wide range of disciplines and seniority
- A customer focused approach - ability to deliver an excellent customer journey
- Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies and plans.
- Experience of using WordPress website management and content optimisation.

**Additional requirements**
- Ability to travel to HQN office in York weekly for meetings or when required
- Ability to be flexible and to meet deadlines
- Provide cover for team absence.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £13.75-£14.85 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week
