**About 3Hive**:
3Hive Ltd provides accommodation and support for up to 3 young people aged 16-18 years old. Our aim is to provide a safe friendly therapeutic environment for young people who will receive 24 hour supported care, nurture and guidance to enable them to gain the skills to progress to a successful transition to independence and adulthood. We also include both physical and therapeutic support with all staff being trained to the highest levels available to assist in their therapeutic parenting. Therapists and psychologists are available to provide one to one support to our young people whilst also being on hand to support staff.

**Job description**

We are looking to recruit support workers who are resilient, empathetic and have passion and commitment to make a difference. Working two 24 hour shifts a week with one weekend shift a month.

Compassion and confidence in challenging situations is key.

**Job Specification**:
To provide a responsive, supportive, professional 24-hour care for our young people placed in our care.

To deliver a service and experience that provides young people with a stable and consistent experience of a safe, warm and caring family life, to maximise and enhance their potential and provide them with the necessary confidence and self-belief as they move into independent living.

To Promote a young person-centred approach throughout our practice, having the young person’s welfare as paramount in all our decisions.

Ensure the cultural and diversity needs of every young person are met.

Promote the educational achievement of young people enabling them to benefit from a range of educational activities.

Enable young people to develop social interests, hobbies and take part in a range of activities.

Promote a healthy lifestyle and ensure that every young person’s emotional and physical health needs are met.

Support contact with the birth family & significant others during a placement offering support to enable a positive outcome.

Work alongside team members in supporting each other and our YP in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Recording and reporting appropriately using correct systems to escalate safeguarding concerns.

To attend regular team meetings and training as required.

Undertaking a key workers role which may involve liaising with other professionals/outside agencies and creating support plans for our YP.

**Essential Requiremen**

At least 1 year experience in the care sector/ working with children. Experience working with children/young adults with complex needs (desirable).

The right to work in the UK.

Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle (desirable)

Class 1 Business Car Insurance (if applicable)
