We're expanding in Bournemouth and welcoming patient, compassionate support workers to join our teams at Mayfield Lodge and Rainbow Lodge - two warm, family-style homes just a few miles apart. You'll support young people with autism, learning disabilities and emotional or behavioural needs, helping them develop confidence, life skills, and resilience.

Your Role as a Senior Support Worker

As a leader, you'll:

  • Support and lead your team to ensure smooth, effective shifts.
  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
  • Lead meetings, supervisions and mentoring sessions.
  • Participate in the on-call rota as required.

As a support worker, you'll:

  • Provide day-to-day care, support and encouragement to children
  • Act as a positive role model, helping children navigate routines and challenges.
  • Use the PACE model to support emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Safeguard and promote each child's welfare while maintaining quality records.

About Our Homes

Mayfield Lodge supports three young girls with learning disabilities, autism, and speech delays. Expect playful, engaging days filled with singing, dancing, colouring and creative activities that foster joy and connection.

Rainbow Lodge supports two young boys with autism and trauma-related needs. Days are active and fun - forest walks, video games, theme parks, bowling, and adventures that feel more like play than work.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children (1 year+ in a residential setting)
  • Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence (Held for 12+ months)
  • Calm, confident leadership and a passion for helping children reach their potential

Pay & Benefits

  • Qualified (L3): £14.15/hr | Non-qualified: £13.85/hr
  • Sleep-ins: £63/night | Potential earnings up to £35,127.30/year

Work Pattern: 3-week rolling rota (37.5 hours per week on average)

  • Week 1: 2 shifts (e.g., Wednesday & Friday)
  • Week 2: 2 shifts (e.g., Tuesday & Thursday)
  • Week 3: 3 shifts (e.g., Monday, Saturday & Sunday)
  • Work 1 in 3 weekends
  • Typical shift: 7:00am to 7:30am (with sleep-in)

Experience:

  • UK Based Children's Support Worker/Care Assistant: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
