**Employer Description**:
SPS Maintenance Limited is a family run business, based in Ferndown, Dorset. We specialise in the installation, and maintenance of security equipment, including Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Nurse Call Systems, Disabled Refuge Systems, Disabled Toilet Alarms, Barriers and Fire extinguishers.

We have an ever-growing team on engineers based in and around the London, Greater London and South of England, with many projects covering Kent and Essex also.

We are rapidly expanding as a business and are looking for a professional, experienced Accounts Administration Assistant to work in our accounts team.

**Job Specifics**:

- Reconciliation of accounts and invoices received including, department billings in a timely manner
- Daily entering and validation of financial transactions into company database
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile records/summaries on activity areas and code financial transactions appropriately
- Chasing of payments from clients
- payments to supplier
- Purchase Ledger
- Assist with company payroll in the unlikely absence of the HR Manager

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Experience of using Xero accountants system
- Excellent communication, mathematical and written skills, paying great attention to detail
- Previous experience of working in an administration team would be an advantage
- Good presentation skills and understanding of Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to liaise confidently with Directors, Management and colleagues
- Able to prioritise own workload and report any issues directly to Line Manager
- Experience with bookkeeping practices and data entry
- Knowledge of accounting terminology
- Understanding of filing systems and strong organisational skills
