Group Head of Payroll

**THE COMPANY**
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an accomplished senior level payroll professional to make a significant contribution to the growth and development of this long-standing, multi-faceted business. The client is a diverse £850m Group with a significant number of trading subsidiaries across the UK and Ireland. With a migration to SAP SuccessFactors underway, the company wishes to strengthen their Head Office team with a first-class payroll professional, to play a lead role in completing on the SuccessFactors migration and manage the ongoing Group payroll function thereafter.
As part of the SLT, your key responsibilities will be as follows:
- **THE ROLE**
- Collaborating with SAP partners, play a lead role in the technical and practical implementation of SuccessFactors across all group companies
- Full accountability for the provision of payroll service delivery across the Group, ensuring payroll strategy is aligned with business needs
- Responsibility for payroll team leadership, direction, development and performance, delivering an accurate, timely and efficient in-house payroll service
- Monitor ongoing SuccessFactors system updates, implementing best practice for a modern, effective and efficient payroll function
- Manage all internal policies and communications relating to payroll, ensuring compliance with HMRC and other legislation and regulation
- Continuously evaluate and enhance payroll processes, implementing improvement initiatives to enhance simplification, uniformity and efficiency
- Manage payroll reporting for accounting, statutory obligations, pension and insurance, liaising with internal and external auditors as required
**THE PERSON**
We are for looking for an experienced and dedicated Payroll leader - CIPP qualified - with a track record of delivering a migration programme to SuccessFactors, including project testing and delivery. You will also demonstrate knowledge and expertise in managing the ongoing strategic and operational evolution of a multi-company payroll function in a medium to large scale Group. To fit in with the Group’s culture, it’s a given that your stakeholder management, communication and relationship building skills will be exemplary, in combination with your first class business acumen, analytical problem-solving approach and positive, can-do attitude. A consummate professional, you will possess the skill, credibility and presence to drive through this exciting payroll transformation programme, with the commercial awareness to make a significant contribution to the future development of this forward thinking Group.
