**Job Purpose**

Reporting to the Senior Vendor Assurance Manager (STTM-G5) and working in close partnership with other members of the Vendor Assurance technical team. The role of the Technical Executive Vendor Assurance (Group Food) (G2) (TE-VA) will touch on all areas of supplier & product management as well as having responsibility for the management of product specifications (raw material and traded finished product), KPI reports as well as overall management of Vendor assurance technical administration. The role will actively support with the management of the supplier / product approval processes.

The TE-VA will be required to support in the overall technical management of the princes supply base and will support other aspects of the business and other team members as required.

The role requires the TE-VA to establish excellent relationships with internal business colleagues, suppliers and customers.

**Dimensions of the Role**
- Substantial liaison internally across all levels of internal Princes management and externally to suppliers.
- Representation of the Company with customers / suppliers / auditors as required.
- To build excellent professional working relationships and work proactively with key suppliers supporting the technical requirements of the Princes Vendor Assurance team.

**Accountability**
- Own the day-to-day management and maintenance of any traded finished product and raw material specifications as associated systems.
- Be the main point of contact in all communications linked to product specifications for all sourced products.
- Be as the super user for the Hamilton Grant and QADEX product and vendor assurance IT systems.
- Own the day-to-day review and management of KPI reports linked to Princes suppliers & sourced products and assist in the preparation of other business / customers traded supplier reports.
- Support the Vendor Assurance team, the Technical Controller (Customer & Supplier) and the wider technical team as required in all aspects of the overall management of suppliers / products and associated management systems.
- Where appropriate participate in the preparation of and follow up to supplier audits and assist in the preparation of and follow up to any customer audits.
- Support in the end to end and day to day management of princes suppliers ensuring compliance to Princes and customer policies / processes and procedures.
- Own the tracking / trending / logging of Princes Group suppliers and QMS management linked to areas such as specifications status / supplier approval and risk assessment status / audit completions & NC close out status as well as the general departmental KPIs and performance**.
- Participate in product assessment and product development activities as required.
- Aid the Princes Group Technical department where required to ensure the smooth running of the Technical function.
- Act as deputy in the absence of the ATM-VA

**Role Requirements**
- Degree or equivalent in a food or other in related discipline or equivalent work-related experience.
- Experience of working with suppliers.
- Experience of creating / reviewing and managing product specifications.
- At least A’ levels ideally science-based but in these circumstances, it will be expected that further specific technical training will be required over a defined period.
- Formal qualification in HACCP (at least Level 2 ideally level 3) / Legal labelling.
- Experience of working within food manufacturing.
- Experience of working with retail customers and an understanding of retailer expectations.
- Computer literate, including ideally Hamilton Grant / QADEX.
- Experience of drafting and generating formal reports & KPIs
- Analysis and interpretation skills.
- Communication and relationship building skills.
- Ability to prepare and give presentations (internal to all levels / external to customers)
