Summary As our Internal Communications Channels Officer you’ll have a fantastic opportunity to support the way we communicate with the thousands of staff and volunteers who do so much to look after the beautiful places and spaces in our care.
In this hands-on, multi-tasking and high energy role, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining and implementing effective internal communication channels to allow the right messages to get to our teams in the right way.
Both roles are offered on a 6-month fixed term contract basis.
What it's like to work here You will be part of an internal communications network that includes our national team and regional consultants. We’re a close-working unit - our approach is values-driven and focused on achieving a clear set of goals that define a high-performing internalcommunications team.
We’re a national network who do much of our teamwork virtually and connect with people all over the Trust. Your contractual location will be our Swindon offices, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working which could includesome home working as well as working at Trust offices in other parts of the country. Wherever you’re based, some travel will be needed to connect with Trust people and places.
What you'll be doing As our Internal Communications Channels Officer, you’ll be reporting to a Senior Internal Communications Manager and supporting the wider Internal Communications team.
You’ll be editing and publishing content on our intranet, ensuring that it’s always consistent, accurate and on brand; this will also involve you supporting the continued development project of our intranet - you’ll be working closely with our project team,plan implementation and support the migration of content onto SharePoint. Additionally, you’ll be managing end to end channel processes and highlight to the team when deadlines are approaching. You’ll be maintaining both our digital and hard copy channels,and looking at ways to improve our delivery and effectiveness.
You’ll be working collaboratively with our fellow Channels Officer on a combined planning approach; continually looking at ways to improve understanding of our audiences and client communication needs, as well as ways we can improve our channels, messagesand content. This role is also about building fantastic professional relationships with a variety of internal clients; although you’ll be part of our central Internal Communications team, we’re building a network of communicators across the Trust, and you’llbe an important part of this.

- Customer focussed with a good knowledge of usability and accessibility best practice
- Experience of copywriting and editing engaging content for a variety of channels

- Knowledge of editorial style and publishing processes in an online environment
- The ability to write and present content in different ways to suit big audiences
