**ITF ROLE OVERVIEW
**JOB TITLE**:Coordinator, Major Events
**DEPARTMENT**:Major Events & Strategic Projects
**REPORTING TO**:Project Lead, Major Events
**LOCATION**:Roehampton, South West London (This role includes worldwide travel,
sometimes for extended periods and weekend work)
We are currently working to a hybrid model requiring a mandatory minimum of 3 days working
in our office based in Roehampton, London and as part of this, Monday and Tuesdays are ‘anchor
days’ where all staff work from the office.
The ITF is responsible for the worldwide development of tennis through its highly regarded
Development Programme, its Science and Technical department which monitors equipment and
technology, and its Officiating department which oversees the education and advancement of
officials. The ITF is the owner of the two largest annual international team competitions in tennis,
the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup (BJKC) by Gainbridge and manages the Olympic and
Paralympic Tennis Events on behalf of the IOC and IPC. The ITF organises over 1,500 weeks of
men’s, women’s and junior tournaments on the ITF World Tennis Tour, ITF Beach Tennis Tour,
UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour and the ITF Masters Circuit. The ITF upholds the highest standards
of integrity and is a partner in the International Tennis Integrity Agency.
**Overview of Department**
Davis Cup by Rakuten and Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge are the two main properties of the
ITF. These two competitions are the largest annual national team events in sport. It is the role of
the Major Events department to work closely with National Associations (NAs) to ensure that we
deliver world-class events that are seen as essential to players, nations and media. The Major
Events team ensure that these events are organised to the same high sporting and competition
standards everywhere in the world and that the contractual rights of the international sponsors
are efficiently delivered.
**The Role**
We are looking for an experienced events team member with a proven track record in event
organisation and operations within sport to work in close collaboration with the project lead
primarily on Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup Regional Group Events, involving 150+ nations
worldwide.
You will be a positive team player with a hardworking attitude and a drive to deliver to the highest
standard. You will embrace a hands-on approach and demonstrate confidence in order to work
with senior leaders, Board members and VIPs alike - and all in an international environment.

**Responsibilities**:
**Event Management**:
- Assist in the planning, monitoring, delivery and evaluation of all 11 Billie Jean King Cup and 10
- Davis Cup Regional Group Events throughout the year.- Prepare documentation for Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup Regional Group Events for venue
- selection process, ensuring that all minimum standards are met.- Assist in the general pre-event preparation and organisation of Davis Cup & Billie Jean King Cup
Regional Group Events to ensure all sporting, logístical, operational, security and commercial
planning is put in place by local organisers.
- Liaise with all participating nations.
- Reconciling receipts and issuing statements of account to participating nations.
- Work at the centre of a web of multiple stakeholders to ensure that every element of an event runs
smoothly. These stakeholders include; players, captains, player representatives, National
Associations, venues, TV and media, sponsors, and internal ITF departments including
Officiating/Protocol/Communications/Marketing/Commercial and TV.
- Attend Davis Cup & Billie Jean King Cup Regional Group Events to ensure their smooth delivery.
- In addition to Regional Group Events, also assist with and attend when required Davis Cup and
Billie Jean King Cup home and away ties.
**Administration and Internal Communications**:
- Compile event information and ensure the smooth flow of information between ITF, NAs and
other relevant bodies.
- Draft memos for the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup Committee for Regional Event hosts
selection.
- Attend regular meetings with Management regarding division of work/progress of projects plus
pre-event briefings and post-event de-briefs.
- Ensure that relevant people are kept informed of progress of projects affecting their areas
of responsibility as well as all other ITF departments involved.
