As a member of the front of house team you are expected to deliver excellence, upholding and demonstrating the company standards and the values of The Beach. Your specific role will vary on a daily basis so you need to be highly adaptable and trained in all aspects of The Beach operation.
We are keen to find an individual who wants to progress in the industry. Our inhouse training programme is designed to nurture home grown talent, so if you have previous experience and are looking to progress this is a great oppertunity.
**Key Responsibilities and Tasks**:
**Support the senior staff and the shift supervisor - you work closely with the team to ensure the operation runs smoothly**
- You will be serving our guests and going the extra mile at all times. Depending on what role you given on the day you may be expected to head up certain parts of the operation. As a member of the team you may find yourself working alone in a particular role or coordinating with other seniors and staff. These areas include (we expect over time you should be competent in all):
- Bar area - this may include being the bar person, Barrista or on the Till
- Section lead - running a section of the restaurant taking orders and delivering The Beach journey
- Food and beverage sales and standards are to be constantly maintained throughout the operation as per the standard operating procedures.
- Speak to guests regularly and monitor/action feedback to ensure that the service provided is meeting and exceeding expectations
- Ensure areas are kept clean at all times and is fully stocked.
- Ensure that all Beach allergen/HACAP guidelines and procedures are followed at all times.
- Work alongside your ,shift supervisor and kitchen team to deal with any individual dietary requirements.
- You’ll need to be approachable, friendly and professional to help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the café.
**Qualifications and Experience required**:
- Experience of serving and preparing drinks is required
- Be able to operate the POS system
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required**:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and to be efficient/productive at work
- Ability to use your initiative and to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work within a team.
- Good knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene.
**Personal Qualities**:
- Clean and tidy appearance.
- Approachable, welcoming, professional and enthusiastic.
- Highly motivated with a flexible approach to working patterns.
- Organised and punctual.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
**Salary**: £7.42-£12.31 per hour
