Brierley Care Ltd at High Brake House care home is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to work every second weekend 8am - 3.20pm assisting the cook with washing up and serving breakfast and Wednesday and Thursday 3pm-6pm to help serve evening meals and to help with kitchen duties. Kitchen duties can include washing up, keeping the kitchen and dining rooms clean and tidy, laying up of tables, serving food to residents, taking food into residents rooms, preparing food and assisting the Cooks.
You must have a friendly, helpful nature, an ability to adapt and multitask as this is a fast paced role requiring you to make our residents feel like they are at home while living at our care home. Food is an important part of the home and we expect a high standard of service from all of our team.
Pay is age dependent up to £9.50 per hour. A enhanced DBS is required for this post, if you do not currently have a transferable DBS. Full training will be given which will include some mandatory courses such as Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, Infection Control and Health and Safety as well as practical training. The post would be a great introduction into a commercial kitchen or anyone wanting to work in a health care environment.
