Stirk House Hotel is an award-winning wedding and events hotel located just outside of Gisburn off the A59.

We are looking to recruit a **Kitchen Porter.**

Hours will vary but will involve weekends. Shifts could be 8am-12pm (breakfast), 6pm-10pm/11pm (dinner), 2pm-10pm/11pm (function).

**Main Duties**
- Scrape and stack used crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment and utensils onto racks ready to put through the dishwashing machine
- Operate the dishwasher ensuring correct use of detergent
- Checking all equipment is thoroughly cleaned once out of the dishwasher, dried and put away in correct storage areas
- Clean and tidy the pot-wash area throughout and after the shift
- Sweeping and mopping the floor
- Assisting the chefs with deliveries if required - receiving, unpacking and putting away
- Emptying kitchen bins and taking refuse to external refuse bins, replacing bin liners

**Experience/skills**:

- Ability to follow instructions
- Experience assisting in commercial kitchen environments would be an advantage
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to carry out manual lifting
- Ability to adhere to health & safety practices

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.00-£10.42 per hour
