- **The role**:
Events are a key part of our customer offering and the Senior Merchandising Exec will support the team in delivering an effective and engaging events programme that drives customer loyalty and sales, while managing a team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute the customer events calendar and supporting on-site media
- Lead and manage multiple small events such as Bank Holiday Weekend or Sunday Lunch to differing timescales
- Continually review and optimise events using data and insight, presented to senior management.
- Create new ideas for events by closely following trends, competitor activity, trading needs and wider business insights
- Work with the Buying teams and Marketing to create clear customer propositions to drive click-through to events
- Work closely with the Creative team to create strong event and media banners in line with our brand values
- Collaborate and build strong cross-functional relationships, while growing, developing and managing assistants within the team.
- Regularly communicate to Ocado Retail teams about event performance and opportunities to improve performance.
- Help the broader Merchandising & Product team to achieve their goals, collaboratively helping with ad hoc requests and supporting supplier funded initiatives as required

**Skills and Experience**
- Online retail merchandising experience, ideally from Grocery / Homewares / Health & Beauty sectors
- Experience of multitasking and managing deadlines
- Good IT skills - Microsoft Office
