Paramedic - Home Visit Rrv - Extended Hours Contract

We provide Urgent & Emergency Home Visits Services across three integrated care systems in Surrey & West London. The role is based in Surrey, starting at either Shepperton, Guildford, Epsom or Reigate. The extended home visiting service will operate seven days per week twenty four hours a day, with a typical twelve hour shift pattern of two days, two nights in week one and three days and one night in week two, then four days off. Delivering high quality care in fully equipped RRVs with support towards MSc (Urgent Care) as well as excellent ongoing CPD. Location Medical Services are looking for experienced paramedics with excellent clinical skills and “real world” experience (2 years post-NQP - or with previous EMT level experience) to be part of an expanding team delivering an innovative and exciting community response services within Surrey. This is an autonomous role and relies on traditional paramedic specialties of "thinking on your feet" and dealing with sick patients in their homes, taking thorough histories, observations and discussing any prescription, referral, or treatment decisions to be made. Fully equipped marked cars are provided. Interventions may include taking blood samples, point of care blood gasses, IV fluid and antibiotics in addition to the usual paramedic skill set. Training will be provided, where needed, for additional skills required for the role. The role involves working closely with our partners, responding to visit requests. Visits are primarily in patients’ homes, with treatment plans, referrals or admissions as agreed. Most work is same day - and urgent or emergency patients are prioritised and responded to appropriately, with ALS equipment and skills utilised as required.
