**Position**:Compliance Officer
- **Salary**:£22,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- **Location**:Royston, Herts
- **Contract**:Permanent, Full-time
- Mon-Fri, 9am -5:30pm /37.5 hours per week
**Compliance Officer**:
- Do you have previous experience working within Health & Safety /Quality or Compliance?
- Would you be confident providing operational and administrative support?
- Have you dealt with internal audits previously?
- Do you have prior experience of ensuring that companies comply with external regulatory requirements as well as internal policies & procedures?
- Are you familiar working within a factory and reporting into the QHS Manager?
- Would you be described as self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who would be keen to join a thriving team?
- Do you have Hazard & Risk Management (HACCP, HARM, HARA) experience or training? Although this is not essential.

**Job Role**:
To provide operational and administrative support to ensure the Company complies with external regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
**Role responsibilities include**:
- Contribute to robust and effective compliance controls in the Company
- Collaborate with other departments to create and maintain a compliance culture
- Investigate, resolve and report customer complaints
- Investigate, resolve and report internal non-compliance issues
- Conduct internal audits of the Quality, Health & Safety and environmental business systems
- Deal with and manage all non-conformance administration
- Contribute to the Continuous Improvement culture
- Conduct new starter induction training
- Conduct Health & Safety, Hygiene and GMP training
- Health & Safety, Environmental support and administration including COSHH assessments
- Assist, support and promote the Health & Safety culture
**Key requirements**:
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all stakeholders
- Able to work as an effective team member and independently
- A pro-active, 'can do’ approach
- To contribute to process improvement activities within regulatory and legal frameworks
- Proficient user of MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) and MIS experience (CERM advantageous)
- Experience of Compliance, Quality and Health & Safety software advantageous
**Experience required**:
- Internal audit experience and relevant qualifications
- Quality management system experience
- Health & Safety experience advantageous
- Document control experience advantageous
- Roll label or print experience advantageous
- Hazard & Risk Management (HACCP, HARM, HARA) experience or training advantageous
