**Job Title: Recreation Youth Worker (Part-Time)**
**Location: The Hive Youth Zone, Birkenhead**

**Hours: Part-time - 16.5 hours per week**
**Shifts**:

- **Thursday (Senior Session): 3:45 PM - 9:15 PM**:

- **Friday (Senior Session): 3:45 PM - 10:15 PM**:

- **Sunday (Junior Session): 2:45 PM - 7:15 PM**

**Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour**

The Hive Youth Zone is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and approachable **Recreation Youth Worker** to join our team In this role, you’ll be based in our recreational area - the buzzing heart of the Youth Zone - engaging young people aged 8-19 (up to 25 with additional needs) in games, conversation, and positive activities that encourage confidence, social interaction and fun.

**Please note: due to the age of our senior members, all applicants for this role must be aged 21 or over.**

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Creating a welcoming, inclusive and energetic atmosphere in the recreational space
- Engaging young people in games such as pool, table tennis, giant board games and more
- Building positive relationships with young people, supporting their development and wellbeing
- Encouraging participation and celebrating achievements
- Supporting the delivery of safe, structured and purposeful youth work
- Acting as a positive role model at all times

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience working or volunteering with young people (formal or informal)
- A positive, proactive attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
- A passion for youth work and a belief in the potential of every young person
- Ability to work flexible hours as per shift schedule
- Applicants must be aged 21 or over
