**Job summary**:
Are you an experienced and adaptable administrator with excellent typing skills? We are seeking a committed Maternity Governance Administrative Coordinator to provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support across both Musgrove Park Hospital (MPH) and Yeovil District Hospital (YDH).
In this varied role, you will support maternity governance functions while also offering flexible administrative assistance to the Podiatry Booking Office when needed, as directed by the Administration Manager.
This is a key role supporting the smooth running of governance processes and clinical service delivery. Flexibility and a proactive approach will be essential as the role evolves alongside service development.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
To organise, run and maintain an efficient administrative service predominantly working within the maternity governance team, as well as providing support to the Maternity Incentive Scheme lead midwives and other teams within maternity when required.

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:
- Knowledge of auditing and data analysis
- Diploma or equivalent experience/qualification.
**Desirable**:
- NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent
**Experience**:
**Essential**:
- Regular requirement to develop or create reports, and documents to evidence fulfilment actions from maternity incidents
- Able to utilise multiple information systems and reporting platforms
- Experienced in creating and maintaining reports, e.g. using spreadsheets, producing graphs and run charts to identify trends
- To comply with all aspects of the General Data Protection Act (2018)
**Additional Criteria**:
**Essential**:
- Standard keyboard skills/inputting and manipulating data, information into computer databases
- Expert in the use of Microsoft Teams, Word, Database and Excel programmes
- Evidence of a good standard of Literacy / English language skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with the others from all grades and specialities
- Is able to coordinate multiple spreadsheets and action plans at any one time
- Can plan own workload to priorities tasks in relation to service demands
- Uses computer more or less continuously.
- Requirement for prolonged concentration to maintain data collection systems, process data or write reports, all of which require attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to use technology to improve standards of care and support to our patients
