SEO Specialist

**About The Role**:
Are you a specialist SEO professional with strong experience driving organic traffic, who is looking for that next step in your career? If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for an SEO Specialist to join our Digital Marketing team here at Arco.

This exciting new role will report directly into our Digital Marketing Manager and will form an integral part of the team by being responsible for managing the SEO channel alongside our SEO partners. You will support in driving our sales and ensuring our digital marketing team are best in class, by working cross functionally with other teams such as Digital, Marketing, eCommerce, UX & PR, as digital is a very important focus for Arco.

This role is a hybrid position, with a mix of remote working, and office-based days (2 or 3 days a week) from our head office in Hull.

Key responsibilities include:

- Delivering the Digital Marketing team objectives through organic search performance improvements to increase website’s organic traffic and attributed sales
- Working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships quickly
- Influencing the decision making both externally and across the whole digital and eCommerce teams to ensure SEO remains at the forefront within the Digital strategy
- Working with the Paid Search team to create a balanced environment for both SEO & PPC and deliver a successful “combined search” strategy
- Overseeing the strategy of the channel, leading on multiple processes
- Managing our local SEO agency and SEO listings, ensuring we are maximising our local visibility in the SERP, and identify other potential opportunities to assist in driving improvements in the channel
- Monitoring our search terms, rankings, and analytics to monitor SEO performance of the Wickes website and make recommendations for improvement

The ideal SEO Specialist will be/have:

- An experienced SEO Manager or Senior SEO Executive with a background in retail or agency, although not essential
- A thirst for learning and wants to continue to develop and progress your career
- Up to date with SEO best practice/impact of Google algorithm
- Experience with Google Analytics, GA4, SEMrush, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
- Able to develop SEO strategies to maximise SERP visibility and ranking opportunity through transactional and non-transactional content optimisation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships quickly with a diverse set of stakeholders
- A credible communicator, a strong team player, and a SEO enthusiast
- A self-starter that can work under tight deadlines, have strong organisational skills and attention to detail
