Central Employment is working with a long-time client who is experiencing rapid growth and is in need of new Heads of departments. As part of this expansion plan, they are looking to take on a Head of SEO who will be able to inspire the existing team to succeed in some interesting and rather exciting projects.

Working with one of the most talented Digital Marketing Agencies in the North East, Central Employment is looking for an experienced Head of SEO who will be able to join our client and manage the existing SEO team. In this position, you will be working directly with the owner to plan out the business strategy for your side of the business and coordinate with other company leaders to best coordinate on vital, cross-discipline, projects.

You will be responsible for managing a team, currently, around four people, which is a mix of mid-level and Senior professionals from a range of backgrounds. Day to day, you will coordinate with them to ensure that there is a steady flow of success on projects, ensuring deadlines are met, as well as ensure that they as individuals are comfortable both professionally and in their personal life. This may come in the form of progression reviews to ensure that they feel valued by the company, or just simply being there if times get tough in their personal life. This is a fundamental aspect of the business, taking care of those you work alongside, regardless of their ranking within the company.

The projects you get will be involved in would be more complex and valuable to the company than most. Over the past year, there has been a steady stream of new projects in both the commercial and public sectors ranging significantly in value. So a high level of understanding of SEO is vital for you to succeed, not just to ensure the quality of work and to educate your team, but also for you to get stuck in as and when it is needed.

While there is an outstanding office, in a great location, you will also have the option of hybrid working if you so choose. Because of the leadership aspect of the position, it is expected that you are in the office at least twice a week. Beyond the work pattern, our client is offering a salary of up to £45,000 + benefits.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Support the existing SEO team to succeed in both the projects and their career.
Strategise with leadership on the best way to approach growth in the business, with regard to your area.
Be involved with high-value and complex projects to ensure client satisfaction.
Attend meetings with clients to provide a technical perspective on their requirements.

**Key Experience**:
4+ years of experience working on SEO projects.
2+ years working at a digital agency in an SEO specialist role.
Experience leading teams of at least 2 people.
Confidence and experience attending client meetings, maintaining expectations when necessary.
Knowledge of best practices within SEO.
