In an exciting environment of continuous growth, we are seeking an accomplished individual to act as a **water specialist **for our **water** offering; a proactive industry expert to support the Group Product Owner.

As the **product specialist for water**, you will ultimately be responsible for keeping abreast of industry changes and their impact to the group, maintaining a knowledge base with relevant internal stakeholders, and at times interacting with customers for complex product support. You will develop and manage a water pricing function with relevant resource and be responsible for ensuring adherence to internal SLAs and quality.

This individual will delight customers by informing service requirements for our water offering across customer sectors, developing effective supplier relationships, and delivering competitive and accurate pricing for the group.

You must demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills, be forward looking with commercial awareness and an ability to lead and innovate in your specialist area.

**Position**

**Main responsibilities**
- Support product & pricing coverage for the group at all times
- Ensure all processes relating to the water product are followed and available to the teams utilising them
- To act as a specialist for the group, that can be accessed by internal and (at times) external customers where relevant (for example as an appointed specialist or customer advocate)
- Support maintenance of a knowledge base for use by the group, and provide proactive thought leadership and product insights through regular ‘did you know’ updates
- Feed into and help develop growth through marketing campaigns and ongoing product/service development
- Act as a complex query escalation point, liaising with suppliers, customers & internal functions as necessary
- Help ensure product & pricing coverage for the group at all times
- Support new business activity to facilitate new wins (presentation, visits, calls or tender information)
- Support renewal activity to facilitate customer retention or cross-sell opportunities (visits, calls, tender info)
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain pricing, where required, on any tendering issues which may arise for our customers, ensuring any obstacles or challenges are communicated to them to escalated where necessary;
- Support effective and commercially beneficial relationships with suppliers, maintaining a close network in conjunction with the product owner
- Support adherence to processes relating to the water product are documented and available to the teams utilising them
- Resolving queries within the remit of your expertise and competence, escalating or referring to a colleague or line manager where appropriate;
- Feed in water product owner to help ensure cohesive and transparent working practices remain ‘fit for purpose’ following industry or other change

**Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- Desired experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience within the de-regulated water markets (Scotland or England).

- Job Type: Full-Time permanent.
- Salary: £30k+ dependent on experience
- Location: Office based - **any group location
- Chilworth, Bradford on Avon, Gloucester, Chorley, Linlithgow, Dudley and Colchester**:

- Working hours: 08:30-05:30pm, with flexible working hours available after the 6-month probationary period
