Do you have a spare 4 hours a week?
We are looking for volunteers to support the Macmillan Information and Support Centre at Kettering General Hospital.
The Macmillan Centre is predominately a drop in service and the days vary with some structure because of clinics and Reiki. You will meet and greet visitors to the centre, take telephone calls, and offering drinks to patients in the waiting room. You will also help to raise awareness of the service around the hospital distributing leaflets, booklets and posters.
Our volunteers are invaluable part of the hospital team. Working with us in a volunteering role means you're playing a part in delivering the best possible care to our patients and their families.
The role of the volunteer at The Centre can vary depending on experience, confidence and also the day that the volunteer attends.
Kettering General Hospital is one of the largest employers in the area and we are on an exciting journey. All of our divisions are committed to doing things better, with more efficiency as we update, modernise, and advance. We have also entered into a Group Model with neighbouring Northampton General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and become University Hospitals of Northamptonshire.
