**Production Operative**

**Contract Type**: Permanent

**Hours of work**: 35 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. Alternative shift pattern - Week1 - 6.00am start (5-day week)

Week 2 - 11.30am start (4-day week, Friday off)

**Location**: Clayton Park Bakery, 20 Petre Rd, Clayton-le-Moors, Accrington BB5 5JG

**Salary**:£11.48 - £12.88 p/h** **(Under 21 - £8.75p/h)

Clayton Park Bakery are a proud supplier of match day food to a number of football clubs in the region such as Accrington Stanley and Blackburn Rovers as well as Premier League clubs Everton and Liverpool. We also supply to over 300 customers through our van sales and as members of the James Hall & Co. family, our products are in over 400 SPAR stores across the north of England.

**About the Role**

To work within a multi skilled team of bakery assistants to manufacture our range of bread and confectionary products to produce quality bakery items and maintain the high level of customer satisfaction currently being achieved.

**Here is What You Can Expect to be Doing**
- Production of pies and pastries (handling pork and beef)
- Working across multiple production lines
- Manufacture safe, quality food by following all relevant Health, Safety, Environment and Food Safety standards and working practices
- Completing of documents and records accurately

- General housekeeping, and maintaining the cleanliness of the production areas
- Moving equipment such as trolleys and racks safety
- Adheres to site processes and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation to produce and deliver unbeatable quality products

**A Few Things About You**
- To be a positive and organised individual
- Experience of working within a similar role is desirable
- Level 2 in food safety and hygiene would be preferable, but training can be given
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- To be enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated
- Have a positive outlook and enjoy working as part of a team, leading by example
- Good written and verbal skills with a good level of numeracy
- Ability to work in a safe manner and consider the safety of others
- Willing to work a flexible shift pattern which would include bank holidays
