Booking Portal Support Assistant

To provide booking support for patients who need to make phlebotomy (blood test) appointments who do not have access to the internet and therefore cannot use the patient portal.
To maintain a high standard of customer service skills when interacting with patients. Accurate and timely data entry is vital part of the role to maintain the Trusts’ ‘must do’ targets.
- To answer and respond to external telephone enquiries made on the dedicated phlebotomy (blood test) booking line.
- Taking accurate details from patients in order to populate the booking portal with sufficient information
- To effectively use the booking portal to search for, amend or cancel appointments if requested.
- To be able to signpost patients who do not fall within our booking parameters i.e children under 5 require paediatric services.
- To advise patients on booking availability on alternative sites if preferred site not available
- To guide suitable callers in how to access the booking portal for future bookings, promoting the registration process
