Over the coming years there will be a significant programme of improvement works to homes to achieve our net carbon zero target and this Clerk of Works role will play important part in its delivery.
This is an exciting and rewarding role within the Technical & Investment Department focusing on providing practical support for the delivery of investment programmes, ensuring the delivery of good quality homes and excellent service for our customers.
The Clerk of Works will monitor progress of works on site, ensuring adherence to specification, quality of materials and workmanship as well as compliance with health and safety requirements on construction sites.
The role includes acting as a day to day liaison point for contractors, residents and the contract administrator, providing update reports.
Essential criteria for the role:
- Sound construction technical knowledge
- Time served building trade apprenticeship or equivalent
- Good understanding of Building Regulations,
- Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach
- Strong customer service skills
- The ability to liaise in a non-confrontational style to resolve any issues on site or post completion
- A team player with the ability to work as a positively
- Full driving licence
- Ability to use electronic systems for data capture and preparation of reports
Desirable criteria for the role:
- SSTC
- Relevant technical qualification e.g. BTEC or HNC
**Salary**: £33,374.00-£34,722.00 per year
