**Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire** is a charity providing respite support giving unpaid carers a break by stepping in to take care of their loved one for a few hours each week enabling them to have some rest and relaxation of their choice.

We currently have a requirement within the Wakefield district for a **Children’s Care Support Worker** working with children with complex health needs within the community. This could include working with children with behaviours that challenge and could include specialised tasks such as PEG feeding and the administration of emergency medication such as Buccal Midazolam. Experience in these tasks are not essential, however a desire to learn is essential.

Drivers are essential for this role along with availability around school such as early mornings, after school /evenings and weekends. Rota’s are regular, supporting the same family at the same time each week. There may be additional hours available during school holidays.

**Carers Trust Mid Yorkshire** provide all staff with a thorough paid induction training process ensuring that all staff work to the high levels of quality that we expect as an organisation.
