Here at Wakefield, we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and committed Children and Family Workers to work with our children and their families in our locality team, for a period of six months, (with potential scope to extend).

**What does the role involve?**
- Direct work with children and young people.
- Specific interventions for children, young people, and their carers.
- Working alongside social workers to ensure the best outcome for our children and young people.
- Evidence based whole family approach interventions to specifically prevent children and young people coming into the care of the Local Authority.

- You must have experience of working with children and young people.

- You must have an ability to creatively problem solve and a willingness to promote the best outcomes for children and their families.
- It would help if you have a relevant qualification, though this is not essential where experience outweighs this.

**About the Job**

The Social Worker provides services to promote the emotional and psychological adjustment of children, adolescents, and families; assists in developing and implementing a program of care; and participates in the development of the program, coordination of services, and evaluation. The Social Worker provides direct care to children, adolescents, and families; participates in the development of the program, documentation of services, and evaluation. The Social Worker communicates with parents; evaluates progress of children’s progress; and provides guidance to families. The Social Worker may be called upon to provide supervision to other social workers.
