Job description

Join us as an Health, Safety & Environmental Officer
- This is an opportunity to build on your existing experience of Health and Safety knowledge and practices across a broad range of industry sectors, working in a supportive and collaborative environment and learning from a large team of H&S professionals
- You’ll be delivering Health and Safety compliance services and support to our clients
- This could be a major stepping stone for your future career, as we’ll support your progression with training and mentoring
- We're offering this role for a period of 12 months

What you'll do

We’ll be looking to you to provide health and safety advice and guidance. You’ll identify opportunities for clients to improve their H&S performance by creating Safety Management Systems and Compliance Plans to meet the needs of the client.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Delivering legally compliant health and safety management systems
- Providing prompt assistance and completing your work in a timely manner with client contracts, policies and health and safety forms and systems
- Contributing to the management and retention of your team’s shared portfolio

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with strong administration and research skills and experience in a health and safety role. Additionally, you’ll have the ability to deliver and advise on statutory processes and procedures, so good communication skills will be key.

A NEBOSH General Certificate and TechIOSH Membership are essential for the role. A relevant Level 6 Qualification and Cert IOSH membership are desirable.

You’ll also need:

- Experience of providing of basic health and safety advice.
- Up-to-date knowledge safety, health and environmental guidance
- The ability to deal with clients from multiple channels and sectors
- High standards of attention to detail and client service
