Vehicle Damage Evaluator
Reports To: Bodyshop Supervisor
Role Objective: Responsible for accurately estimating repair costs in accordance with insurer and customer requirements, facilitating efficient vehicle repairs and ensuring satisfactory profit margins. The role involves independently completing tasks for qualified staff and supervising non-qualified technicians when necessary.
Main Responsibilities:

- Develop both manual and digital repair estimates swiftly, ensuring they meet insurer and customer standards to uphold high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee parts procurement, confirming correct, complete, and timely delivery; handle returns of incorrect or unnecessary parts. When relevant, evaluate whether parts are authentic, non-genuine, or second-hand, and label and track them for reference.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, noting any work needing prior approval. Ensure no work proceeds without proper authorization and follow up on unauthorized estimates, documenting reasons.
- Once estimates are approved, liaise with body shop personnel to define the scope of repairs or communicate vehicle status, such as declaring a total loss, in accordance with insurance protocols.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations pertinent to the role and working environment.

Technical Expertise: The required technical skill level and scope will be discussed and aligned with your manager or team leader.
Additional Responsibilities: Due to the facility’s size and complexity, you may be assigned other reasonable tasks within your capabilities as directed by senior management.
Remuneration and Perks:

- Salary up to £46,000 annually, including site bonus, depending on experience and qualifications.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience and ATA accreditation are mandatory.
- Experience with Audatex and Autoflow is advantageous.
- Working hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break.
