We’re looking for a passionate Third-Party Risk Management Lead to help us in driving a multi-year procurement transformation programme, through robust adherence to our supplier’s risk policies with regards to Santander internal and relevant external policies.

Leading a small team, you’ll use your experience and knowledge ensure that quality, compliance and cost-effectiveness of work delivered by suppliers meets Santander’s expectations. As the Third-Party Risk Lead, you’ll manage and mitigate risks related to external vendors which supports the transformation to an industry leading procurement function.

**The difference you’ll make.**
- Owning the Third Party Risk Management supplier assessment process, technologies, reporting and interfaces with Risk Experts/Functions
- Providing an approach focused on reducing touch points and increasing speed/cycle time reduction
- Reviewing SOC Reports for ‘material third-party’ arrangements; ensuring that gaps are formally tracked through to closure.
- Carrying out quality control activities to ensure accuracy of risk assessments and reporting
- Deliver strategic improvements to Third-Party Risk Management Framework in line with the Santander strategy and Third-Party Risk Management Target Operating Model (ToM) Ensure that effective third-party risk management processes operate across the Bank, and delivering value-add management information and reporting to senior management and end-users to enable understanding and management of third-party risks

**What you’ll bring.**
- Experience of strategically leading Third party risk/procurement functions including end to end processes, technology and issues management, ideally within Financial Services; Proven Third Party Risk, control and controls assurance experience

**It would also be nice for you to have.**
- Extensive experience of line managing risk, assurance or procurement teams
- Strong understanding of key risk domains, including Information Security, Cyber Security Data Privacy, and/or Business Continuity
- Understands regulatory requirements and broader regulatory context, and proven track record in improving / maintaining risk management processes Ability to think laterally and understand the impacts of proposed changes, challenging the status quo where appropriate
