HOUSING OFFICER
Hyde Housing works with housing and supporting vulnerable adults from a variety of backgrounds
including mental health, physical health issues, substance misuse, homelessness, learning disabilities, offending backgrounds, domestic violence, care backgrounds etc.

Main Responsibilities include:

- To complete the registration and housing sign up paperwork for new tenants and assist with move in.
- To assist tenants in claiming DWP benefits by supporting them online and making telephone calls for making benefit claims.
- To create and maintain up to date care plans and risk assessments for service users. Monitoring progress and recording notes on daily record sheets relating to each visit.
- Regularly review care plans and provide reports to Management and Support workers
- Assisting to book and arrange appointments for tenants, staff members and external agencies.
- Liaise with families, friends, advocates, external agencies and the management team to provide a consistent approach that meets the individual needs of each service user. This Could include probation officers, mental health teams, GPs, community liaison officers, socialservices and social workers, foodbanks.
- To assist with certain areas of support when necessary: completing forms, paperwork for tenants that require support (e.g. completing referrals and paperwork for GP’s, mental health, foodbanks).
- To complete housing referrals for tenants when necessary to seek suitable accommodation.
- To assist with accessing community-based activities such as going into education, work placements/experience and other social and leisure activities.
- Assist and monitor maintenance reports, health and safety reports completed by staff for multiple properties when required.
- Ensuring support workers have up-to-date information available to support tenants.
- Floating support opportunities may be required for tenants.

**Experience**:

- Good use and experience of Microsoft Office (required)
- Administration (1 year - preferred)
- Support (1 year - preferred)

**Location**:
Birmingham, West Midlands (preferred)

Licence:
Driving (required) with access/use of own car.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working hours will be Monday-Friday day.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 25 per week
